This talk will discuss what makes a good translator, exploring some of the challenges faced during the translation process and providing reliable resources and tools used by translators today, including artificial intelligence.

Speaker: Kim Causier is a Spanish to British English translator based in Seville, Spain. She has more than 15 years’ experience in the sector, having worked in-house and as a freelancer. She has a BA and MA in Translation and Interpreting (University of Salford) and an MA in Audiovisual Translation (ISTRAD and Universidad de Cádiz.) Some of her specializations are: Travel and tourism, Spanish culture (mostly Andalusian and Easter traditions), marketing, food and drink and humanitarian and NGOs.
