ABOUT
Ever feel like you’re coming undone—in a good way? In connection with the exhibition unbecoming, this three-part studio series invites us to explore transformation through artistic practice. Drawing on the creative habits and studio mindsets of artists, Shape Shift offers a space to unravel and reimagine who we are, and who we might yet become. Each session starts with close looking and conversation in the galleries, followed by a hands-on workshop featuring movement, writing, or visual art.
In this session of Shape Shift, we’ll go on a creative journey with Lorelei d’Andriole, MSU assistant professor in electronic art and intermedia. Using 3D scanning and analog processes, participants are invited to trace the emotional and sensory contours of place, memory, and identity. Bring your phone—and your experimental mindset!
No previous art experience is necessary. All you need is a willingness to explore, reflect, and reimagine.
We’d love to see you at this event!
