Con Amore: Puccini and More
ABOUT
Joanne and Bill Church West Circle Series
In 1924, the world mourned the passing of several renowned composers, including Giacomo Puccini of Italy, Gabriel Fauré of France, and Victor Herbert of the United States. These influential giants bridged the Romantic Era with the rise of the modern Classical Era, and all left an indelible mark with songs that are still celebrated today. In the 100th anniversary year of their passing, vocal artists from the College of Music faculty honor these composers in a concert that explores some of their greatest operatic works and arias.
Generously sponsored by Dr. Roy and Christine Meland.
