Explore truth versus fabrication in the age of generative AI. Participants will evaluate claims about the MSU community—some factual, others AI-generated—using multiple data visualizations: some created by AI, others by human researchers. Through guided discussion questions, you will learn to identify misinformation and understand appropriate AI usage in information sharing. This hands-on interactive workshop designed and led by MSU graduate students will equip you with practical strategies to assess AI capabilities, recognize bias and misleading content, and use data evidence to verify or debunk claims in our AI-driven world.
Lunch will be provided.
This workshop is co-sponsored by the MSU Department of Computational Mathematics, Science, and Engineering, and the CREATE for STEM Institute.
