The evening will feature a keynote from University of South Carolina scholar and hip-hop artist Dr. Jabari Evans, alongside museum exhibitions, a collaborative community art installation, live DJ sets, and opportunities to connect. Come celebrate the power of hip-hop and creativity to inspire learning, foster connections, and shape our shared future.

The Knowledge Cipher Summit: Hip-Hop, Pedagogy, and Inclusive Excellence is a two-day summit featuring a special live taping of Streetlight Sessions at WKAR Studio, workshops, community dialogues, artist performances, and collaborative experiences exploring how hip-hop can inspire new possibilities in education, research, and community partnerships. 

 

This event is offered in connection with We Are This Land: Meditations on the Great American Experiment. On view Aug. 22, 2026–Mar. 14, 2027, We Are This Land brings together artists who invite us to reflect on our history, consider our present, and imagine brighter futures.
